General Description
Grape harvest: The harvest is handmade on the second week of September. A slight overmaturation of Nero d’Avola joins the perfect balance between sugar and acidity of Nocera and Nerello Mascalese.
Aging: after defining at best the flavours and characteristics in steel barrels, the wine rests for at least another six months in bottles.
Organoleptic characteristics: Dark ruby wine with clean flavours, delicate scents of spring flowers and a delicate note of cinnamon. On the palate it takes a centre stage with velvet tannin. Alcohol content from 13% to 13,5% vol. depending on the year.
Suggested food combinations: Excellent with tuna or sword fish, first course dishes and cheese. Served cold it is perfect also as an aperitif, next to Mediterranean snasks.
