General Description
Grape Harvest: hand made harvest between the third and the fourth week of September. A slight over maturing of the Nero d'Avola vines supports the perfect balance of Nocera and Nerello Mascalese vines.
Aging: after defining at best the flavours in steel barrels, the wine is aged in barrique for twelve months and then in bottles for at least six months.
Organoleptic Characteristics: dark ruby colour with a classic bouquet of red fruit and a hint of cinnamon and cocoa . Full bodied flavour round out the palate followed by dense velvety tannins. Alcohol content from 13,5% to 14% vol. depending on the year.
Suggested food combinations: excellent with rich first course pasta dishes and soups, with braised meats, roasts, game and grilled meats and with seasoned cheese.
